Join us for the launch of Margaret Clifford’s poetry collection, Come to the Edge. Damen O’Brien, will launch the collection and he will be in conversation with Margaret and other panellist, Terry Fitzpatrick.
ABOUT THE BOOK
The poems in the first half of the collection reflect on the invitation to gently let go of ego and control, to come to the edge and to be open to new perspectives and greater awareness.
Poems address universal topics such as retirement, ageing, grief and joy and provide new language and new ways of looking at change. Some of the poems feature accounts of the author’s childhood and provide a unique perspective of life in the 1950’s.
The second half of the collection focuses on our beautiful but broken world and gives a sense that we belong to a bigger story.
This is a collection about answering the call to come to the edge, to listen deeply to the Earth, to the voices at the edge and to embrace connectedness.
