In store at Avid Reader Bookshop
Tickets available until 29 September 2019 1:00 PM
Podcasts are becoming more and more popular. Popular podcasts like the ABC's Trace and Short & Curly have gone on to become equally popular books. With Audible entering the podcasting market, and with the newly founded Jesse Cox Podcast Fellowship, there are now many opportunities for writers to branch out into the realm of the spoken word.
Kellie Riordan leads the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's podcast unit Audio Studios. She'll share information about the podcasting landscape and how its growing both in Australia and abroad, and take you through the basics of making a podcast that will reach the biggest appropriate audience. With a focus both on structuring and writing for a podcast format, and on the specifics of the medium, you will come away from this three-hour workshop with everything you need to get started on your own podcast series.
